The P4 Mk1 Pakistani Anti-Personnel Mine is a high-explosive (HE), simple, minimum-metal, pressure operated, anti-personnel (AP) blast landmine.

Design The landmines have a plastic casing with a central pressure plate protruding from the top surface. The landmines have a safety cap made from white plastic, which screws onto the landmine body.
Pressure Plate Beneath the pressure plate is a plunger that bears on a clear plastic striker assembly. The spring-loaded plastic striker encapsulates a sharp steel firing pin and is held within a collar by an alloy shear wire. The wire passes through the center of the striker and around the side of the collar, where the ends are twisted together. In the center of the base of the landmine is an externally threaded fuze well that accepts the detonator assembly, when fitted, this sits immediately below the striker and is surrounded by the main charge.
