Description
The MDH-8K Vietnamese Anti-Personnel Mine is a high-explosive (HE), directional fragmentation, anti-personal (AP), landmine similar to the Russian MON-200 that can be command or trip-wire detonated with a MUV-type trip-wire fuze.

Design
The rear face of the landmine is convex and the front face concave, with a single fuze well in the center.
The casing is sheet steel and the fragmentation, housed in the concave face, is chopped steel rod, behind this is the main charge.
Fuze
The landmine may be fired using a mechanical fuze (normally an MUV type) attached to a trip-wire.
Note
The landmine is most effective against personnel and light vehicles when mounted above ground.
