Description

The Hunter 2-S Emirati Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is a fixed-wing, tube-launched loitering munition that provides aerial strike capabilities at distances of up to 50 km from the launch point. The Hunter 2-S autonomously flies to a designated target area and loiters while searching for targets. Once a target is identified, a remote pilot can designate it and activate engagement through man-in-the-loop control. This UAV employs advanced artificial intelligence to execute coordinated missions within a swarm, making it a powerful asset in modern warfare scenarios. Part of the Hunter series, which includes various fixed-wing loitering munitions designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and aerial strike missions, the Hunter 2-S can be launched from a Hunter 2-S tube launcher positioned at an angle of up to 45 degrees. The maximum weight of the launcher is five tons, and it can be integrated with an armed or artillery vehicle to launch 21 drones within 60 seconds. A standard 20-foot ISO twist-lock interface is utilized for the launcher. Equipped with sophisticated AI capabilities, the Hunter 2-S drone autonomously navigates to target areas and scans for potential threats. After identifying a target, a remote pilot designates the target and initiates engagement using man-in-the-loop control. The drone’s ability to follow flight plans, coordinate with other drones in a swarm, and accurately neutralize targets makes it a valuable asset for frontline forces operating in challenging battlefield environments. It effectively locates, tracks, and precisely neutralizes soft targets, light vehicles, and armored vehicles from a secure distance.
