Description

The Mariner X Norwegian Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV) is designed for open ocean operations, focusing on precise data acquisition, environmental monitoring, and surveillance. It can integrate various payloads, including cameras, sonars, AUVs, and LARS. With a spacious, railing-equipped back deck and two moonpools, the Mariner X offers versatility for specialized tasks across industries. Its rugged polyethylene hull withstands harsh marine conditions and requires minimal maintenance. The vessel features a powerful propulsion system and a long-range fuel capacity of up to 25 days, making it ideal for extended, unattended missions. Equipped with Maritime Robotics' Autonomous Navigation System, the Mariner X can operate remotely or autonomously, ensuring real-time data acquisition and safe navigation. Its redundant propulsion system and multi-vessel formation mode enhance safety and allow seamless operation within larger fleets. The Mariner X's core hardware is housed in a temperature-controlled environment, protecting critical systems from harsh weather. Standard equipment includes a GNSS compass, Class B AIS, radar, cameras, and communication modems. The vessel’s advanced situational awareness and backup propulsion make it a reliable platform for maritime operations. The large back deck of the vessel can support a payload of over a ton, depending on the conditions and specific payload integrations, which significantly enhances its operational capabilities. The deck is equipped with a railing system that allows for the attachment of various custom payloads, such as water sampling systems, ROV and AUV Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS), deck generators, winches, and cargo. This versatility makes the vessel suitable for a wide range of applications, from environmental monitoring to supporting offshore construction projects. The Mariner X is equipped with two moonpool elevators and two dedicated sensor positions, providing excellent flexibility for sensor deployment and improving data quality—both of which are crucial for surveying and scientific research. Its flat hull design, combined with the moonpool elevators and bow thrusters for precise slow-speed navigation, allows for stability and clearance needed for accurate survey work. Additionally, there is an option to install a Seakeeper to further enhance the vessel’s stability.
