Description
The AN/TPQ-50 is a lightweight L-band (1250–1350 MHz) counter-fire radar designed to detect and track rockets, mortars, and artillery shells with an instrumented range of 15 km and an accuracy of 50 m. This battlefield radar is an evolution of the AN/TPQ-48 and can be mounted on towers, tripods, or light vehicles such as the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). It provides an elevation coverage from 0 to 30 degrees.
