AMMR
The AMMR (AESA Multi-Mission Radar) is an S-band, fully coherent, three-dimensional tactical acquisition radar manufactured by Rheinmetall Italia S.p.a. This battlefield radar features a software-defined architecture that allows its configuration to adapt to specific operational scenarios. Utilizing four or five active electronically scanned array (AESA) faces, the AMMR provides 360-degree coverage with an instrumented range of 20 km and employs adaptive digital beamforming techniques. It is designed to detect and process a wide range of short- and very short-range aerial threats, including mini and micro-unmanned aerial vehicles, high-angle rockets, artillery, mortars, air-to-surface weapons, and cruise missiles, with future upgradeability to address evolving threats.
