Description
The RLS-N is an X-band (IEEE) or I-band (NATO) airborne navigation and weather radar system manufactured by Kotlin-Novator. It is designed for use on Il-76, Il-78, Il-112, Antonov An-70, and An-100 aircraft. The radar operates with a peak power of 600 W, utilizing pulsewidths from 0.5 to 64 µs, and has an instrumented range of 300 km, extending to 500 km for weather detection. Its antenna is a mechanically scanning flat slotted waveguide with horizontal polarization, offering a bearing angle of ±90° and an elevation angle of ±45°.
