Description

The Obsor naval radar, manufactured by «Granit-Electron», is a coastal surveillance system operating in the X-band (9,380–9,440 MHz). It is designed for sea surface surveillance and regulating ship movements in coastal and harbor areas. Its low power consumption also makes it suitable for deployment on oil rigs. The system features an 18-foot (5.5 m) antenna with a 0.45° beamwidth and a 20° vertical half-power beamwidth, rotating at 15–30 revolutions per minute. It utilizes a solid-state transmitter with a user-selectable, phase-coded transmission pulse (0.5–100 µs pulsewidth), achieving a compressed pulse length of 45 nanoseconds, a peak power of 100 W, and a range resolution of 7 meters.
