Description

The Gabbiano is a family of lightweight, X-band airborne surveillance radars designed for easy installation. These radars offer a wide range of advanced modes, including sea and terrestrial scanning, as well as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) for spot and strip imagery, and Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) capabilities. Two primary versions exist: the T-20, which transmits with a peak power of 20 kW and has an instrumented range of 40 nautical miles (74 km), and the T-200, which transmits with 200 kW peak power and has an instrumented range of 220 nautical miles (407 km). Both versions are available with either a mechanically scanned array of slot radiators or an antenna with a parabolic reflector; the T-20 is installed on the Elbit Hermes 450 UAV, while the T-200 variant is installed on the Hermes 900.
