TRD-1211
The TRD-1211 (Trójwspołrzędny Radar Dalekiego Zasięgu) is a long-range 3D air defense surveillance radar operating in the D band. It automatically detects and tracks up to 120 objects, providing range, azimuth, and height information for targets up to 350 km in range and 40 km in height. The system employs a planar array antenna that forms a cosecant-squared transmitting beam and eight stacked receiving beams, with mechanical rotation for azimuth scanning (10-second rotation period) and monopulse processing for height estimation. It utilizes a 20 µs linearly frequency-modulated (LFM) transmit pulse, which is compressed to 0.4 µs upon reception, achieving a range resolution of 100 m. Comprising three main units and a mobile power station, the TRD-1211 is transportable via ISO-standard container-compatible trucks and supplies air defense systems with track data via medium-speed digital links to a Control and Reporting Centre (CRC).
