Description

The RPS-10 is an S-band tactical hemispheric air surveillance radar system, part of the Compact Hemispheric Radar (CHR) family developed by RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. This non-rotating, solid-state, digital, pulse-Doppler, and software-defined radar platform is designed to detect, track, and classify threats to combat vehicles, serving as a core sensor for advanced active protection systems. A single RPS-10 unit provides 120 degrees of azimuth coverage, with hemispheric coverage achieved by integrating three or four radars into a system. Its armored-steel active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna, based on Gallium Nitride (GaN) amplifiers, measures 47.5 cm wide, 27 cm high, and 16.5 cm deep, offering resistance to bullets and fragments, and supports on-the-move operation.
