Description

The Interceptor-MR is a British Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that is AI-enabled and designed as an autonomous interceptor. It provides a smart, cost-effective, and low-collateral solution for neutralizing hostile drones. This high-speed craft is capable of defeating Class I and II drones at distances of over 5 kilometers. Equipped with a variety of sensors, the Interceptor accurately detects, verifies, and responds to UAS threats. It features NiDAR Core intelligence, which allows operators to deploy this agile system to defeat fast-moving and highly maneuverable targets. The UAV is designed with a fully automatic vertical launch system for rapid response to threats. Its reinforced composite airframe enables it to successfully engage multiple small drones in a single mission. The Interceptor’s hybrid design combines the speed and range of a fixed-wing aircraft with the flexibility and agility of a quadcopter. It is housed in a vertical smart launcher that is connected to the NiDAR sensor infrastructure. Once a threat is detected, the operator can deploy the Interceptor from the launcher. The system uses onboard AI imaging to acquire its target and can pursue the enemy with dogfight maneuverability at altitudes of up to 2 kilometers and speeds exceeding 80 meters per second.
