The VGM93.900 fragmentation round is designed to destruct manpower in open areas or inside rooms and destroying light barriers (doors, interior partitions) when fired from the 43mm GM-94 magazine grenade launcher.
The grenade engages unsheltered manpower through fragmentation.

Initially intended for law enforcement use against heavily armed criminals and non-state combatants operating in urban environments, it later evolved into a more versatile military weapon which is currently in service with Russian military units.
