Description
The SCR-21 is an S-band primary surveillance radar (PSR) designed for unattended air traffic control operations. Operating within a frequency range of 2,700 to 2,900 MHz with a peak power of 15 kW, it provides a detection range of 70 nautical miles (130 km) for both civil and military aircraft flying below 12,000 meters. The system offers a range resolution of 200 meters, an accuracy of 100 meters in range and 0.25 degrees in azimuth, and features a 1.5-degree beamwidth with antenna rotation speeds of 7.5 or 15 revolutions per minute. It boasts high reliability, with a mean time between critical failures (MTBCF) of at least 30,000 hours.
