SOPKA-2
The SOPKA-2 (Russian designator: 12А6; also known as TRLK-12 A6) is a Russian S-band en-route air traffic control radar system designed for use in arctic regions, with an instrumented range of 360 km and a range resolution of 250 m. It comprises a primary surveillance radar (PSR) utilizing a passive phased array antenna, and two secondary surveillance radars (SSR) with antennas mounted on the rear of the phased array. The upper SSR antenna operates on national frequencies (837.5 MHz uplink, 740 MHz downlink), while the lower monopulse SSR antenna, featuring a large vertical aperture (LVA), handles international frequencies (1030 MHz uplink, 1090 MHz downlink). The system, which has a beamwidth of 1.3 degrees and an antenna rotation speed of 6 rpm, entered service in 2014.
