Description

The Indra PSR 2D is an S-band (2.7-2.9 GHz) air traffic control radar, configurable for various transmitter versions. It functions as both an air surveillance radar for airfields and an en-route radar, offering an instrumented range of up to 100 nautical miles (185 km). The antenna features a cosecant-squared pattern and a high-and-low-beam configuration, transmitting solely in low-beam while utilizing two independent receiver channels. Additionally, the radar includes a dedicated weather channel providing six levels of rain information with a resolution of 1.4 degrees and 0.95 nautical miles. The PSR 2D is currently deployed at Danish Royal Air Force bases in Skrydstrup, Karup, and Aalborg, as well as at Geneva, Zurich, and Istanbul New Airports.
