Description

The AN/SPS-64 Mariners Pathfinder is a naval surface search and navigation radar manufactured by Raytheon E-Systems in the United States. Operating in the X-band (9375 ± 25 MHz), with an instrumented range of 64 nautical miles (118 km), it offers pulse repetition frequencies of 900, 1800, or 3600 Hz, pulsewidths of 0.06, 0.5, or 1 µs, and peak power options of 10, 25, or 50 kW. The system supports various antenna sizes, resulting in beamwidths from 0.7° to 1.9°, and features a 33 rpm antenna rotation. It is available in over 15 configurations, combining different antennas, 25, 50, or 60 kW transmitters, and display indicators, including 30 cm and 41 cm Plan Position Indicator (PPI) displays, the RAYCAS V indicator for collision avoidance, target tracking, navigation, and tactical data, and the RAYPATH indicator for radar, collision avoidance, and navigation data. Its modular design allows for system duplication, intermixing of displays and transceivers, and adaptive interfacing with other radar systems, fire control, and electronic support measures systems, such as the AN/SPA-25 and AN/SPA-66.
