FPS-303K
The FPS-303K (manufacturer's designator: LRS 180) is a mid-range, three-dimensional air surveillance radar operating in the S-band (IEEE designation) or E/F-band (NATO designation), with an instrumented range of 200 km. It is specifically designed for detecting low-altitude aircraft, particularly in difficult terrain, and connects to early warning and command and control systems. Utilizing an active electronically scanned array (AESA) antenna, the radar can adjust its lower antenna pattern boundary to the radar site's angle of clearance for effective operation, achieving a detection range of 100 km for extremely low-flying targets. This system replaces aging two-dimensional radars, introduced in the late 1970s, previously used by the Korean Air Force.
