ELM-2258
The ELM-2258, also known as "ALPHA" (Advanced Lightweight Phased Array), is an S-band naval radar system designed for medium-sized combat ships, including corvettes, frigates, and larger vessels. This rotating multi-function solid-state active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar utilizes multi-beam and pulse Doppler techniques, providing an instrumented range of 65 nautical miles (120 km). It incorporates robust electronic protective measures (EPM) and is capable of detecting low Radar Cross-Section (RCS) targets in complex clutter and jamming environments. As a Software Defined Radar, the ELM-2258 aims to replace multiple legacy radar systems with a single, more reliable, flexible, and agile solution.
