The Primus 660 is an airborne weather radar system, fully stabilized for attitude, that displays weather in four intensity levels: green, yellow, red, and magenta. Operating at a frequency of 9375 ±25 MHz with a peak power of 10 kW, it offers pulse repetition frequencies of 180, 360, and 480 Hz, and pulsewidths of 1 or 2 µs. The system has an instrumented range from 2.5 to 300 nautical miles and scans a 120-degree sector. It comprises a transceiver with either a WI650 or WI660 indicator, and an optional WC660 controller, weighing 29.4 lbs. Depending on the aircraft's radar nose configuration, it can be equipped with an alternative 12-inch or 18-inch slotted waveguide antenna.
