PPRU-1M-2
The PPRU-1M-2 “Ovod-M-SV” (GRAU index: 9S80M1-2), an evolution of the PPRU-1, is a Russian-made ground-based 3D surveillance and target acquisition radar operating in the X-band (IEEE designation) or I-band (NATO designation) with an instrumented range of 75 km. Unveiled at MAKS 2007, it features a new solid-state radar and is mounted on an MT-LB multi-purpose tracked vehicle or an MT-LBu armored command and reconnaissance vehicle. This battlefield radar can automatically track up to 50 targets and engage 20, coordinating anti-aircraft missile batteries at the regimental level, including systems like ZSU-23-4M4 “Shilka-M4,” 9K35M2 “Strela-10M2,” 9K35M3 “Strela-10M3,” and 2K22M1 “Tunguska-M1,” as well as assigning targets to man-portable systems such as 9K32M “Strela-2M,” 9K34 “Strela-3,” 9K310 “Igla-1,” and 9K38 “Igla.”
