Description
The Uran-6 Russian Demining Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) is a Russian version of the Croatian-produced MV-4 DOK-ING mine clearing UGV. The platform has been designed as multifunctional, robotic, mine clearing system to carry out mine clearance operations from anti-personnel (AP) mines and explosive ordnance (to 1 kg of TNT), all by remote control.

Tiller
The tiller is fitted to the front of the vehicle with the shovel mounted to the rear.
Mine Clearance
Mine clearance is carried out by a flail or other additional tool attachments, all mounted in front of the prime mover that either activates or shatters AP mines. The flail has 32 chains, each 33 cm in length that hammer through dense vegetation or soil to a depth of 35 cm. The shaft rotates the flails up to 600–700 rpm with the impact destroying or exploding the mines.

Sensors
Four cameras are mounted to provide the operator with a 360° view. Two cameras are protected by armour and situated on either side of the chassis with one being able to view behind the platform. The main camera is situated at the top centre of the chassis and can rotate to provide 360° situational awareness. The unit transmits real-time imagery to the remote-control system.

Armor
The Uran-6 can neutralise an explosive object with a potential of 60 kg (132 lbs) of TNT equivalent. The engine and vital components of the machine are protected by steel plates. The self-supporting hull has HARDOX steel plates 8 to 10 mm thick and the clearing tool hammers are made of steel, which are highly resistant to wear and mine detonation. The Uran-6 is resistant to the fragmentation of landmines, and its low profile reduces its susceptibility to shrapnel damage.
