Design
The ATM-72 landmine body is a slightly larger version of the Soviet TM-46 complete with a similar carrying handle, pressure plate and explosive filling plug, positioned between the carrying handle.
The top of the landmine is crimped to the rest of the body and has a stepped appearance up to the fuze cavity.
The difference in overall appearance comes in the type of landmine fuze employed with this landmine. The landmine has six radial reinforcing ribs on the bottom.
Fuze
The landmine fuze is a large metal, four-pronged pressure fuze that is screwed into the central landmine fuze well.
The fuze has a very long and distinctive booster charge attached to it.
