Foxtrack
The Foxtrack is a man-portable, lightweight ground surveillance radar operating in the X-band. Utilizing Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology, it is designed to detect, track, and intercept targets moving on or near the ground, with an instrumented range of 24 km. It can detect pedestrians at 8-10 km and light vehicles at 15 km, with an accuracy of ±3 meters or ≤0.3 degrees. The complete system, which has an antenna rotation of 8 or 16 revolutions per minute, can be carried by a two-person team in two backpacks, or mounted on vehicles or field posts. It can function as a standalone unit or as part of a radar network, and is manufactured under license in several countries, including Hungary where it is known as the PGSR-3i “Beagle” (Portable Ground Surveillance Radar), and by Telefunken RACOMS as the PRS 2020, with a stationary variant designated as PSR (Perimeter Surveillance Radar).
