Description
The CLC-3 Chinese Mobile Air Defense Radar is described as being a mobile pulse Doppler S-band (NATO E-/F-band) (2 GHz to 4 GHz), low-altitude air defence radar that makes use of a phased array antenna. The CLC-3 has the ability to detect slow flying/hovering helicopters in “severe” clutter, automatic target tracking and automatic generation of 3D targeting data for target designation and combat control along with the integrated weapon system. CLC-3 is also noted as being suitable for gap filling within an air defence network.
