Description

The DLD-100C is a monopulse secondary surveillance radar (MSSR) operating in the D-band (1030/1090 MHz) that has received certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). It incorporates advanced technologies such as a high-gain array antenna with a large vertical aperture, monopulse azimuth angle measurement, a fully solid-state and digital intermediate frequency (IF) receiver, and supports Mode S (Enhanced Surveillance, EHS). The radar features a complete online Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) function, seamless automatic switchover, and two identical redundant interrogator channels. It provides range (up to 256 nautical miles or 474 km), azimuth, code, altitude, and special status information for civil aviation aircraft equipped with transponders, supporting interrogation modes 1, 2, 3/A, B, C, D, and S, in compliance with ICAO specifications. Widely used in modern Chinese air traffic control systems, the DLD-100C has a mean time between critical failures (MTBCF) of 30,000 hours.
